Cyamus Annual Meeting, March 26-30, 2010

The Cyamus meeting will be held at the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre (BMSC) which is located in the village of Bamfield and within the traditional territory of the Huu ay aht First Nation in Barkley Sound on the west coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia. BMSC is owned and operated by five western Canadian universities (Simon Fraser University, University of British Columbia, University of Victoria, University of Alberta and University of Calgary). Our host will be Sarah Gellard Tyne, Information and Communications Officer at BMSC.

We will be spending our first night (March 26th) in Port Alberni and traveling by boat to Bamfield the next morning.

Please see the Side Bar for transportation, accommodation, program information, attendees, etc.

Please note: "Bamfield is an isolated community. If you have a life-threatening medical condition that may require hospitalization while you are here, we advise you not to come to BMSC. We do have a lovely Vancouver Island Health Authority Outpost Hospital "manned" by incredibly competent nurses, and a Coast Guard Lifeboat Station on 24hr emergency stand-by. Bring your health card with you."
